Reviewers have unfortunately mentioned that this blanket, despite its slim dimensions, tends to sleep on the warm side. It's definitely a high-quality blanket, but may not be the best choice for exceptionally hot sleepers due to the wool.

Outlast Temperature Regulating Chevron Wool Blanket

We, unfortunately, can't say for sure whether this blanket sleeps hot or not because the website currently does not have any reviews for this product. This indicates that it may be a newer and relatively untested product. I would personally recommend going for the previous wool-Outlast blanket instead, which has established reviews and a lower price tag.

Temperature Regulating Lightweight Cooling Comforter by Cool-Jams

Similar to the Design Weave blanket, this comforter is made with a high-quality cotton cover and stuffed with half and half Outlast and polyester fiberfill. This comforter also comes with ClimaDry technology, which supposedly gives the bedding an extra moisture-wicking boost.

The Outlast fabric featured in this blanket helps to maintain a consistent, comfortable body temperature. However, it's only Bronze Outlast Certified, which means that it has much more limited temperature-regulating power compared to products that are Gold or Silver rated. In fact, the website even states that to get optimal temperature control, this product needs to be used with Gold-rated products like their sheets.

This temperature regulating blanket will be particularly fluffy and light feeling due to the box stitching, which gives the fill more space to move and fluff up inside. Unfortunately, this same comfort-adding property can also increase the blanket's insulation and heat holding properties, mainly when half of the fill is polyester.

There are no reviews currently listed on the website, so we can't know whether customers found this blanket to sleep hot or cold.

Cooling Weighted Blankets for Hot Summer Nights

Gravity Blanket

However, this would not be a right choice for children or particularly small adults as there are no weight options on the lighter side of the spectrum.

Unfortunately, the polyester exterior may be the downfall of this blanket, as many reviewers said that they found the blanket uncomfortably hot. There were also reports of the blanket coming apart and leaking beads after prolonged use and that it was significantly undersized.

Premium Adult Weighted Blanket and Removable Cover by Quility

Despite being more than $100 cheaper than the Gravity Blanket, the Quility weighted blanket has a far higher proportion of positive reviews and comes with far more useful features.

The blanket comes with three layers of polyester padding, both to enhance comfort and to ensure that none of the weighted beads escape the blanket. Reviewers found that this blanket held up well even after prolonged use, and there were no reports of leaking beads.

One downside is that the internal blanket can only be hand washed or dry cleaned safety, which makes it a bit more challenging to keep clean if you wish to use it by itself. There's also a slight concern that the polyester padding might add heat-trapping properties to the blanket.

If you're looking for the soothing weight of the Gravity Blanket, but with more features and less bad reviews, this would be a perfect choice.

This particular weighted blanket comes in 5, 12, 17, and 20-pound options, making it a better fit for small adults or even children.

Several reviewers have noted that the ZonLi blanket tends to run smaller than expected. There have also been complaints of stitching coming apart and of beads leaking even through the two layers of polyester padding.

CoolMax-Weight Blanket with 2 Duvet Covers for Hot and Cold Sleepers by Degrees of Comfort

In addition to being the least costly weighted blanket on our list, the CoolMax blanket has also really outdone itself with the range of weight options it offers. No matter what your size or shape, this blanket should have a weight to help you get the perfect weighted blanket experience.

The CoolMax blanket also features two different duvet covers to allow you to choose between a warm or cool sleeping experience. The polyester fleece cover is warm, insulating, and fluffy, while the CoolMax polyester microfiber cover is designed to sleep cooler and wick away moisture. Each duvet cover comes with ten anchor points to ensure the blanket doesn't slip around inside it.

Rather than glass beads or plastic pellets, this blanket uses nano-ceramic beads, which supposedly give it a silkier and more pleasing texture.

Unfortunately, several customers found that this blanket sleeps on the hot side, despite its promise of cooling. There were also a few mentions of the ceramic beads bunching up in the corners of the stitching.

YnM Weighted Cool Heavy Blanket

3D Air-Fiber Fleece Cooling Blanket by LEISURE TOWN

This last blanket is by far the most budget-friendly on our list at only $23.99. It's a reasonably simple polyester blanket without a lot of extra features, but that hasn't stopped it from racking up a very high proportion of positive reviews.

The LEISURE TOWN blanket is highly lightweight, and its 3D air fiber has superior airflow and cooling sensation compared to traditional polyester fleece. Rigorous testing has shown that this thin little blanket will hold up to over 40 washes with no piling or fleece shedding. Don't let its small stature fool you; this is a durable blanket.

The biggest complaint regarding this blanket was that it could be challenging to dry after washing because it's highly absorbent and holds on to a lot of water. If you sweat a lot in your sleep, this might not be a right product for you, as it will hold the moisture and become damp rather than wicking it away.
